Passion—definition 6 at dictionary.com: a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything: a passion for music.

At Turtle Run, experience the passion of winemaking at it’s fullest. Whether it’s a full bodied red wine, a captivating white, dry, sweet or Port, we put every ounce of passion we have into every wine. With our motto of “exceptional quality wine that goes with food and friends”, you can expect us to deliver a wine that will dazzle your senses! Founded in 2000, Jim Pfeiffer, owner and winemaker, started his studies into wine back in 1988. Having crafted 100’s of wines in his lifetime, at Turtle Run and with 25 wines on our list, we’re sure we can please the most discriminate palates.

Take a tour of the winery. We’ll explain to you in a very non-technical, easy to understand way, the subtleties of the winemaking and aging process. How do barrels made from Minnesota oak differ in flavor from those made from oak grown in Ohio, Tennessee or Kentucky? How does a much more expensive bladder press positively affect the flavors of each wine? How does blending enhance many of the wines at Turtle Run? These questions and many more are answered.

Enjoy free wine tasting in Laura’s tasting room. Staffed by our very friendly and knowledgeable staff, they have a passion to make you feel right at home. Bring a picnic and enjoy the scenery at one of our many picnic tables or out on the east side deck.

Call Laura if you would like to stage an event. Speaking of stages, we have plenty of free concerts with various genres of music to be enjoyed. Please check out our events page to see what’s happening at Turtle Run, be it music, wine classes, or events with the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail.

As a founding member of the oldest wine trail in Indiana, many enjoy hopping on the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail for a great adventure in wine. Check out www.indianauplands.com for more details!
