Wine Festivals, Events, and Wine Classes

• February 11th and 18th:  The Wine Appreciation Class!  (classes are now full)

  Fascinated to learn more about wine?  The Turtle Run Wine Appreciation Class is a must to attend event for those who want to broaden their knowledge about all things wine.  This class, we'll take the reigns of France and take a deep dive at understanding what sets French wines apart from other areas and how they compare to Indiana made wine.  Dinner included.  Reservations Required.  We'll sample more than 20 wines.  At $35 per person, it's a great bargain and a great time!  Call 812-952-2650 for reservations.  Class space is limited.

• February 11-12 & 18-19: Chocolate Lovers Weekend!

  Visit all nine Indiana Uplands Wine Trail members for exquisite wine and chocolate pairings.  At Turtle Run, you'll also be able to enjoy Laura's famous Raspberry Wine Cake with a sample of Raspberry wine.  This is a free and oh so delicious event.

• March 10-11 & 17-18: March Gladness - An Indiana Uplands Wine Trail Tradition

  With food and wine, you'll be fine, so what better way to enjoy a late winter weekend than by hopping on the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail to enjoy a food and wine experience like no other.  Sample delicious food and wine pairings by the Indiana Upland Wine Trail wineries.  Forget calorie counting, just enjoy the day.  This is a ticked event.  If you would like to purchase tickets on line, go to http://marchgladness.eventbrite.com.

• April 21 & 22: Toast to Spring Cheese Lover's Weekend

  Visit all nine Indiana Uplands Wine Trail members for a delicious wine and cheese pairing.  At Turtle Run, we'll be sampling Kenny's Country Cheese, made just a few hours away in Kentucky.  Why does cheese go so well with wine?  Simple!  Tasting wine strips proteins off the tongue, thereby deadening the sensory effect.  Cheese replaces those proteins.

• Wine Appreciation Class:  April 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM Join us for a great adventure and deep dive into all things wine.  Designed for anyone who wants to learn more about wine.  Whether you have had 10 or 10,000 bottles, the Turtle Run Wine Appreciation Class will certainly add to your knowledge.  Dinner and tasting of 20+ wines included.  Taught by our owner and winemaker Jim Pfeiffer, who also teaches beverage management at the culinary school at Sullivan University.  Reservations required, cost is an extremely reasonable $35 per person.
